This was a commissioned processional cross I created as a scaled rendition of the suspended altar cross at St Peters Episcopal Church, Chattanooga, Tennessee.

This processional cross is eight-sided and tapered at each end, which presented an interesting challenge for attaching the crossbeams to the vertical post.

The only difference apart from its size, they requested that I create a shallow channel down and across each beam and fill it with gold leaf.
